Attorney Chad Knott has been serving the legal needs of clients throughout White County, Georgia and surrounding areas since 2003.
An attorney who believes strongly in the importance of hard work and integrity, Chad Knott takes a personal interest in clients and their needs and finds creative solutions to complex legal challenges. Mr. Knott is pleased to assist individuals and businesses in a wide range of legal matters that include real estate, business law, contract law, estate planning, and land development.
Education: From Engineering to Law
Mr. Knott's experiences in the business world have given him a unique perspective in business law. During his tenure at Georgia Tech, he participated in the cooperative program and was employed by Freudenberg-NOK, an automotive parts manufacturer located in White County. After graduation from Georgia Tech with a Mechanical Engineering degree in 1996, he continued with Freudenberg, transferring to the LaGrange location as an Applications Engineer and Business Unit Manager. Continuing his education, he began attending Law School at Georgia State University in the evenings. He graduated Law School in 2002 from Georgia State University with a Juris Docturate and immediately went to work for Smith, Gilliam, Williams, and Miles. In the fall of 2003, Mr. Knott opened The Law Office of Chad Knott in Cleveland, Georgia.
A Neighbor You Can Depend On
Attorney Chad Knott, a Florida native, is also a resident of White County. During his employment with Freudenberg-NOK he met his wife to be, Nicole Lynn Smith, at the First Baptist Church in Cleveland. He and Nicole were married in 1999, live in Cleveland, Georgia and have three wonderful boys – Tanner (age 7), Trevor (5) and Trey (3). They are actively involved members of Concord Baptist Church in Clermont where Mr. Knott serves as a Deacon and he and his wife both serve as Awana Leaders.
Serving Our Community
Mr. Knott is very involved in the community and serves on the Board of Directors of the White County Chamber of Commerce, White County Georgia Water Authority, and Winegrowers of White (WoW); past team captain for Friends of Scouting, is President of Georgia Scholarship Funding, Inc., and President of the Yonah Mountain Property Owner's Association, Inc.
In his off hours, you may find him four wheeling the ever challenging terrain of North Georgia or on the water boating with his boys.
